PATHS

PATHS
(Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies)

The PATHS programme has been developed to help children develop social skills, increase self-control and become aware of emotions and how they can affect us.

The programme uses puppets, stories and songs to introduce the topics for discussion and a safe environment to discuss them.

Each PATHS puppet has a special preference for behaviour, and they carry this into the playroom.

PATHS Superheroes are children who have been kind to their friends and have tried their very best to keep to all the PATHS rules as preferred by the puppets. They can wear a cape of their choice, and have their photo put on our PATHS wall.

Each child will take part in PATHS every week to develop their understanding of their feelings, develop self control and explore how their feelings affect their behaviour.
